Customers love surprises. They want the products and the stores to be exiting. They want the whole shopping experience to be simple and fun.
When IKEA launched the Paper Shop, Kollo contributed to a totally new shopping experience in IKEA. By coordinating the department by color and design, rather than a structure based on function (like the rest of IKEA), it became a distinct and much appreciated break from the traditional IKEA-walk.
Kollo was present from start and assisted in all aspects, from range strategy and product development to shop concept and merchandising. Focus was on building a very commercial product range where everything was made from paper, then display it in a surprising and selling way.
